Friends of the Rail connecting again!

Track laying has commenced on the section of line between Rayton and Cullinan which was stolen in March 2017 resulting in the derailment of 15F 3052. The TFR tracklaying train and crew moved into position to renew the +/- 200 metres of missing track on Tuesday 23rd January. Our pictures show the train arriving at Rayton and the crew unloading the replacement rails prior to connecting up the track and sleepers.

On behalf of FEDRAIL SA well done to the FOTR team and to Transnet for their assistance and cooperation with replacing the track which is being combined with a training exercise for the  TFR track laying team.
